I usually ask God for words of knowledge when I go to public places or hang out in the lobby before Sunday church service.  God can speak “Words of Knowledge” to us via different methods. He might show you a vision of a person’s body part, or give you slight pain or discomfort in a certain area of your body, or you might just know where the person’s body is aching.  In some instances God might make the person’s pain or discomfort known to you without you actually feeling anything. When He does any of these things, He’ll usually “highlight” the person to you. By “highlight,” I mean that He will direct your attention towards the individual that He wants you to minister to.  It’s almost like God is shining a spotlight on them.

The key is to ask God for these words with faith so that He will give them to you. Remember always that He does not favor any one person over the other. Therefore, anybody can walk in the gift of the Word of Knowledge. This is a powerful tool because the person you approach with a word of knowledge is usually shocked and impressed that God used you to care about their pain or situation.  You will see many healed this way. One thing I know for sure, this ministry is a lot of fun so relax, believe in what the word of God says, and enjoy the ride.
