How to hold onto your healing!!!

A common occurrence that happens after you receive healing is that Satan will lie and tell you that you didn’t really get healed. He is the father of lies and is out to deceive and harm you. John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”

The good news is that Satan (the thief) doesn’t have the power to take away what Jesus has already done, unless you believe his lies! Ephesians 6 shows us how to stand against Satan’s lies.  Ephesians 6:16 “Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth,” When we know the truth, Satan’s lies cannot harm us. Ephesians 6:16 “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” Notice it said all the fiery darts. This is the “too good” to be true news. YEAH GOD!!!

About 12 years ago I was suffering from excruciating pain from frozen shoulder and was looking into having surgery to address it.  I was only able to lift my arm about 30 degrees without sharp pain. After receiving prayer, I was amazed I could lift my arm up high in the air with very little pain. This experience made Jesus very real to me. As I was driving home after receiving my healing, I tested myself and put my arm out to the right at a 90-degree angle and wow, there was no pain. Then I moved my arm behind the passenger seat and pain immediately shot up my arm. At that moment I heard Satan (not in an audible voice) say “Darrell you stupid idiot you didn’t get healed”. Then I remembered what they told me at the healing house and began to command the pain to leave in the name of Jesus Christ. To my astonishment, the pain went away and never came back again. All the Glory to God!!!

Healing was part of the atonement. Jesus died on the cross not only for our salvation but also for our physical healing. The Old Testament has many scriptures that speak about Jesus and His coming and His effect on the world, Isaiah 53:5  “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” Fast forward to the New Testament 1st Peter 2-24 “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”  We can also see this in Matthew 8:17 “That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.”

It takes faith to receive salvation. We have to believe that Jesus died on the cross to pay our sin debt in full and that we have eternal life because of it. Romans 10:9, 10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Confession is made unto salvation and you also can confess that you are healed by His stripes. Go ahead and confess that right now.

We have a huge advantage over people that lived before Jesus died on the cross for us. Some of them at times had the Holy Spirit come into them. When you become a born-again Christian you have the Holy Spirit living in you at all times 1st Corinthians 3:16 “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”

Romans 8:11 “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

There is life-giving healing power in your body, the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Satan and even some in the church will tell you that healing is not for today. God loves all of us the same and wants all to be healed, Acts 10:34 “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:” Acts 10:38  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. He healed all who were oppressed by the devil.

I see hundreds of healings every year because I believe in what the Bible says. Jesus paid our sin debt in full and paid for our sicknesses and diseases upon the cross. Some people don’t get healed or don’t hold onto their healing, simply because they believe in the wrong doctrine. I have heard people say that God is teaching them a lesson with their disease or that God doesn’t want to heal them. I disagree with that assumption according to the scriptures above. He has already provided for the healing upon the cross. This healing is in the spiritual realm and is manifested in the physical body when we claim this truth with belief. If you don’t believe me here is what Jesus said in Mark 11:24 “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

Some may ask, “if Jesus paid for our healing 2000 years ago, how is it still available today”?  You see, there is no “time” in the spiritual realm. God created time for the physical world for us to live by. Genesis 1:31 “And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.” God is Spirit and there is no time in his world (the spiritual realm) Psalm 93:2 “Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting”. I once imparted the gift of healing in my online healing class from Southern California. A pastor in Arizona who missed the class but listened to it three days later reported to me that he felt the tingling go through his hands even though he watched it three days later. I know this can be hard to comprehend but just accept and receive the benefits from it.

Others have told me that they do not believe that God is willing to heal them. Look at this scripture Matthew 8:2, 3 “And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean. Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”  He loves us all the same and your healing has already been paid for. We just need to believe in what the word of God says. Mark 7:13 “Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.” I beg you to please believe in the word of God and not doctrines and traditions of man. I don’t know exactly how it all works but I will stand on the word of God, and many were healed in the Bible because of their faith.

The following scripture is an account in the Bible when Jesus came to a man and his son. Jesus’s disciples could not cast the demon out of the man’s son. Mark 9:23-27 “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.  And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.”  When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, “Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him” And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.  But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose”. All born-again Christians have faith, it is a God-given gift see Romans 12:3. All of us can have some unbelief also, which can counterbalance our belief. Be humble enough to say Lord I believe, help me with my unbelief. Keep reading there is a solution for unbelief. If far some reason you are not healed, don’t feel bad about it our doubt your faith. Just press in for more from God and ask the Holy Spirit why you aren’t healed and what can you do to receive your healing.

Joshua 1-8 instructs us to meditate on His word day and night to become prosperous. Mediate on the above scriptures until they become heart knowledge of the truth. You can also ask the Holy Spirit other scriptures that you need to meditate on. Meditation is simply thinking about these scriptures, memorizing them and allowing them to take over your thoughts. There have been studies that show that 80% of our thoughts are negative and 95% are repetitive. Wow, we keep repeating the same negative thoughts over and over. By meditating on healing scriptures you will replace those negative thoughts with Godly truths for your healing and all areas of your life. The above scriptures are from the King James Version. If they don’t work for you look up your favorite version and memorize and meditate on them. They say it takes 21 days to form new habits. I meditate so much on the word of God that uplifting scriptures flow through my thoughts, transforming me into a new creation of Christ. I have a ways to go but I am going, and if I can do this anyone can. If you could see a month into the future and know how much peace and victory this brings you, you would do it too. Meditation is simply thinking, which we all do all day every day. Please meditate on these scriptures and watch your unbelief dwindle away. I would also suggest fasting to humble yourself to God and to grow in relationship with Him.

Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Read His word, listen to His word, meditate on His word and you will walk in victory.
